

Loretta Holden Wilson, age 87, of Raytown, MO, passed away on November 11, 2016. Visitation at 9AM on Thurs., Nov. 17, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, with funeral at 10AM. Burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30PM.
Loretta met George C. Wilson and they married in 1948. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, active in PTA as a president, organized and directed a Boys’ Choir in the church in which she grew up. She worked as a Legal Secretary for Missouri Public Service Company. During the 26 years she was with the company, she served as an Executive Secretary, to several Officers of the company. She was actively involved in many organizations. In 1981 she was elected President of The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City, and later served as a Counselor to that Board. She held a lifetime mem-bership in the Salvation Army’s Women’s Auxiliary, was a member of the President & Past President’s General Assembly, American Business & Professional Women’s Association, a PEO of Mo. Chapter EX. and enjoyed chairing the responsibilities of the Blue Beret’s Queen Candidacy for the American Royal.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Susan Holden, siblings, Harry, Charles, Sister Doris Eli. She is survived by her sister Wanda, her loving husband of 69 years George, three sons, Dan, Mark, Brian, 7 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She remarked many times how blessed she had been.
