Lorin Nathaniel Downton

Lorin Nathaniel Downton, 53, of Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully on August 31, 2020.

Lorin was born in Kansas City, MO on November 15, 1966 to Angela and Lawrence Downton. He attended Attucks Elementary and Lincoln High School. He grew up in Parade Park and made many friends in the area. During his teen years he liked to D.J. at parties. He was a member of The Marching Cobras as a drummer.

He enjoyed spending time with family celebrating holidays and birthdays as well as many social gatherings with friends where he was no stranger to a game of dominoes.

Lorin turned his love of cooking into a lifetime career lending his talents to The Raphael Hotel and Peachtree Restaurant in the Kansas City area and later Hilton Hotels & Resorts and AmeriPride in Las Vegas to name a few.

He grew up attending Griddine Temple of God in Christ Church later making Macedonia Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO under Pastor John L. Brooks his church home.

Lorin was preceded in death by his brother Darin, father Lawrence, and grandfather Jesse Harrell. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Angela Downton-Brooks, sister Lorie Wilson, grandmother Esther Harrell, wife Brenda Downton, children Kortney Carr, Jerquan Botley and Lorin Carr, beloved companion Tamanika Hogan of Las Vegas, NV, niece Candice Allen and a host of relatives and friends.

Face Became Family ! My Family loved Face .. He was a Great Cook his Ribs was Bomb ... I can Speak for my Family he was kind . Respectful accept if u said something bad About the Chiefs . He talked about his Mom all the Time and His Lady ... And the Chiefs lolol Gonna miss Brotha Face ... Love and Respect from the Vegas Crew
