Louis J. Ober, 83, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away March 2, 2012. Visitation will be held from 2:30-3:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Mr. Ober was born March 18, 1928 in Covington, Kentucky, son of Charles D. and Mary C. (McHale) Ober. He was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Mr. Ober had worked as a maintenance engineer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Jeanette (Schlickelmann) Ober in 2003. He is survived by his daughter Linda Ober Valdivia; stepdaughters Janice R. Moore, Patricia L. Cason and Pamela J. Shaner and their spouses; brother Paul Ober; sister June Barhorst; grandchildren Paul Cason, Phillip Cason, Ken Cason, Jr., Ty Easley, Tammy Braun, Dan Stratford, Billy Moore, Heather Wright, Nicki Magri, Ginger Smiley, Lynnette Shattuck, Richard Gordon, Jr.; 31 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
