Louis “Sheffield Louis” was born June 17, 1930, to Ascention and Isabelle Rodriquez.
Louis worked at Portland Cement Company until he retired in 1985. He enjoyed walking at the mall with his friends and making new ones. He enjoyed cooking and feeding people his special tacos. Louis always loved springtime, especially when his orange poppies would bloom. He loved taking pictures of his family and grandchildren, solving puzzles, drawing pictures, watching baseball and football games; especially the Royals and Chiefs.
He is survived by his children Anthony (Connie), Tracy (Terry), Mathew, and Mark and his grandchildren Ryan, Aaron, Kristie (William), Adrienne, Daymon, Dustin, Cheyenne, Teryn and Raven. Louie was also survived by his loving sister Josephine Ruiz.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 1029 Bennington Ave., Kansas City, Missouri 64126, on October 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 11:00 am. Committal Service will follow at Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, Missouri 64127. Services under the direction of McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home Kansas City, Missouri.
