Louise D. Kent

Louise Dicks Kent, age 90, was born in Leavenworth, KS, on June 10, 1920. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Kent, on July 3, 1999. Louise was very generous with her time in volunteering for many organizations. Among her favorites were the Nelson Atkins Art Gallery, the Wornall Home, and at Seton Center.

Louise is survived by her children: Suzanne Robinson, Edward Asha Kent, William Kent, Carol Dougherty, and Mary Kathleen McNaghten (David) and her grandchildren Michael and Jennifer Robinson, Tom, Danny, Bridget, and Brian Dougherty, Alyson and Abigale McNaghten.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Court at Overland Park and Catholic Charities Hospice for making her last days comfortable and dignified.

Visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208, on Friday, October 22, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be held in Leavenworth, KS, at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Association of the Miraculous Medal, 1811 West Saint Joseph Street, Perryville, MO 63775, and The National Shrine of St. Jude, 205 W. Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 60606.
