

Lowell E. Tribble, 95, passed from this life on Friday, September 4, 2020. Lowell was born to Willie Eugene and Irene (Davis) Tribble on January 26, 1925 in Pocahontas, Ark. Lowell married the love of his life, Jewell Lucille Cypret, on January 24, 1945. They were just shy of their 70th wedding anniversary when she passed in 2014. Lowell is survived by his three children, David (Gayle) Tribble, Danny (Sandy) Tribble, and Linda (Kerry) Murphy. Eight grandchildren: Lisa, Jamie, Jeff, Mark, Renee, Josh, Natalie, and Jonathan. Twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Lowell graduated from Pocahontas High School. As a young man he learned how to repair shoes by offering to work for free. Later, he and Jewell would buy and operate their very own shoe store in Corning, Arkansas for several years. After moving to Kansas City, Lowell worked as a shoe salesman for Robinson Shoe Store on the Plaza and went on to become the shoe buyer for the Jones Store Company. Lowell would eventually start and operate his own painting business, Tribble Painting & Sons until his retirement. Lowell was an accomplished artist.
He served as an Ordained Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years with the Church of God of Prophecy. He was a faithful and long time member of Antioch Church. Lowell served as treasurer for the Kansas City chapter of Full Gospel Businessmen’s Association He was a dedicated and faithful Christian who loved and quoted much of the Bible. His memory was remarkable to the very end. He was an avid soul winner, counselor/mentor, and encourager. To know him was to love him.
He leaves an incredible legacy, heritage, and example for us to follow. Another member of the “Greatest Generation” has departed and will hear the Master say, “Well done!”
