

Lucye Mae Cook, age 78, of Lee’s Summit, MO. passed away on March 5, 2022 at CenterPoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. She was born on October 29, 1943 in Somerville, Tennessee the daughter of Lowell W. and Frankie (Fowler) Oliver.
She married Kenneth B. Cook on November 14, 1969 in Miami, OK. She was a nurse at the Community Blood Center in Kansas City, MO. for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She was an avid reader, a very good cook and grew the best tomatoes. She had a love and obsession with new cars, especially her 50th anniversary Thunderbird. She loved to travel; Kenneth and Lucye travelled to Hawaii, Mexico and took Caribbean Cruises.
She is survived by her husband: Kenneth of Lee’s Summit, MO., six children: Donna Cox of Independence, MO, Lynn Stanford of Grain Valley, MO., Rhonda (Husband: Bret) Savage of Raymore, MO., Sonya (Husband: Will) Hibdon of Grain Valley, MO., Krystal (Husband: Pete) Pine of Oak Grove, MO. and Jason Cook of Lee’s Summit, MO. fourteen grandchildren: Ryan Savage, Brandon (Wife: Sarah) Savage, Lacey (Josh) Savage, Kaitlin (Husband: Andrew) Berry, Paula Williams, Chase Hibdon, Derek (Bay) Cross, Kennady Campbell, Keeley Pine, Jyrneigh Cook, Jenilee Seaton, Jessica Tyler, Brian Krohn, Ashley Mansfield. Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Three Great Great Granchildren. Brother: Ray Oliver of Dallas, TX. and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her Parents, three sisters: Marie Dodson, E. Maxine Muntz, and Charlotte Oliver (in infancy). Two brothers: Thomas “Bootsie” Oliver and Roy “Pete” Oliver. And one Grandson: David A. Krohn.
