Luther “Foots” grew up in Anniston, Alabama in his early years, until his family relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where Foots, his mother and brother made their home. Luther and his brother were later adopted by their stepfather, Mr. Lee.
Luther worked various jobs. He worked alongside his mother as her assistant cook until they both retired.
Luther passed away peacefully in his sleep at 86 on February 3, 2025. He was preceded in death by several of his loved ones, mother Mrs. Loraine Bardwell, father Mr. Leavolia Bardwell, father Mr. Laymon Williams Sr., son Kevin Sublett, two brothers Laymon Williams Jr. and Robert “Beau” Bardwell, and other relatives.
Luther leaves to always love him daughter Ms. Regina Drone, granddaughter Payton and grandson Bryson, all of Independence, MO, three sisters Mrs. Linda Willingham McKelvy of Raymore, MO, Mrs. Lorraine Buford (Kenneth) of Raytown, MO and Mrs. Carolyn Irons of Kansas City, MO, special friend Mrs. Bernadette Morris of Kansas City, MO, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
