My mom's hallmark and crown were caring enough to send the very best. . . the entire gift of self. Madeline Schrader left for her Heavenly inheritance on March 15, 2013 to be with the love of her life Raymond, whom she met at Ranch Bowl. It was a lucky strike and their love was the perfect 300 game assisted by their 9lb bowling ball/daughter, Barbara Annie. She is survived by her best pal, daughter, caregiver, 'Pride and Joy' and 24K Barbara Annie, SCL, family and many friends. Husband/Heavenly Ray has been busy with God in preparing her eternal home that you will love. She was born January 22, 1927 to Joseph and Barbara Hobdy. She was sincere in her own little Mission of sending greeting cards and authoring poems to friends and family. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Society and the Neighborhood Council. She worked for Monkey Wards, Bruce Dotson and Allstate and twenty years as an Election Judge. She loved keeping her house and yard beautiful. Whether in baseball on the playground at McCoy, the Athenia Club at East High, ice skating at the PlayMor or in life she had wondrous faith, extreme tenacity, wit, grit, loyalty, dedication, creativity, impeccable memory and strategy, gift of poetry, Purple Heart courage beyond compare and endless encompassing love. She evangelized by example and word even in your last days. Visitation will be at the McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home from 5-8pm with Rosary at 6:00pm and Wake service at 6:30 on Tuesday, March 19th. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 20th at Our Lady of Lourdes, 7009 Blue Ridge Blvd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Retirement Fund, Lourdes or St. Mark's Parishes, Bishop Sullivan Center, Duchesne Clinic or O'Hara High School. You knit me in your womb, gave me life and blessed me beyond compare with your deep love. Your heart was worn out from loving and the new Pope's white smoke called you to eternal life. My heart and soul miss you and your love, beauty, messages, cards, calls, treats, smiles even though you rest in Eternal Sunshine and Smiles with Daddy. It was a gift and grace to care for you. The last three years of your life were bonus to me and all. I'm everything I am because you loved me. Thank you for all that you were and hope to be for me in the yet to be. In your words, To da louie, I love youie! xoxo 24K
