She was born in Leclede, Missouri on March 26th, 1933 to Virgil Raymond Shoop and Mable Mary (Welsh) Shoop. She graduated from Leclede High School and moved to Kansas City and worked at Conoco Gas Company. She was active in the Legion of Mary. She met the love of her life, George Bestgen, at the Catholic singles club at Redemptorist and they married on October 21st, 1967. They resided in Grandview, Missouri, where they raised their family. She went on to further her education at Longview Community College and graduated with her Associates degree in Accounting. She worked at North American Savings, retiring in 1999. She was an avid reader, loved crosswords, working on family history celebrating her Irish heritage and being active in Coronation of Our Lady. She was active in Annunciation Catholic Church in Kearney, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her three sisters and her brother, brother in law, nephew and grand daughter. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George Bestgen, daughter, Lisa-Marie (Michael) Forcier, son, Raymond (Laurie) Bestgen, grandchildren, Sean Forcier, Andrew Forcier, Rose Forcier, Aislinn (Isaac) Earnheart, Delanie Bestgen, nieces, nephews and extended family and good friends.
