Marcella Morris

Marcella (Meier) Morris, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She was born January 7, 1924 near Hanover in Washington County, KS. She worked 44 years for the Kansas City Terminal Railway Company. After retirement, she devoted 5000 hours to volunteer service at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary (Pacha), sisters Loretta (Richard) Suyderhoud, Elnora Atchison and Leona Meier, brothers William (Mary) Meier and William and Joseph who died in infancy. She is survived by Robert, her husband of 53 years, and daughters Nancy Morris and Linda (Arthur) Shaffer, two grandchildren Logan and Victoria Shaffer, sister Anna Mae Orpin and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 7th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with a Funeral Service following at 5:30 p.m. Private burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church or Seton Center.
