Marcia Jean Hayse, age 69, from Kansas City MO, passed away on the 12th of April, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at McGilley State Line Chapel at 1pm on Saturday, April 18th. Due to the current stay at home orders in Kansas City, only immediate family will be permitted to attend the service, but it will be streamed live on Facebook where the link can be found below.
Marcia was born on July 22, 1950 in Danville, Illinois. She was a devoted wife, mother, Gigi, friend and keeper of animals. Her passion for reading, drawing, singing, and nurturing her family will be preserved in her paintings, books, and stories from her children and grandchildren. She began her career as a missionary in Mexico and Ecuador and concluded her career at the Salvation Army where she spent more than 30 years giving to her community. Marcia will be remembered for her uplifting words of encouragement and demonstration of Christ’s love for others.
In honor of her memory, memorial contributions can be made to her church of 36 years First Church of the Nazarene (Link Below) or to the ASPCA (Link Below), an organization that was dear to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rhonda Gulley; father, Robert Gulley; and mother, Barbara Gulley.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David Hayse; her sister, Robin Jurczak; brother, Robert Gulley Jr; daughter, Melody (Randall) Lord; son, Jason (Kelly) Hayse; granddaughter, Lily Hayse and grandson, Aidan Hayse.
