Margaret Lucille Carr

Margaret Lucille (Gabel) Carr, 98, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 in Overland Park, KS. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10a.m. with visitation from 8:30a.m. to 10a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 9020 E. 51st Terr., Kansas City, MO. Inurnment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Lucille was born on January 27, 1920 in Tonganoxie, KS to William and Hattie (Hammerschmidt) Gabel. She was a lifelong member of St. Cyril’s Catholic Church and was a past president of St. Cyril’s Altar and Rosary Society. Lucille also volunteered many hours on the Citizens Civic Relief Commission in Sugar Creek.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Mike; her parents; three brothers; one sister and son-in-law, Rocky. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sapenaro and Regina Robbins (Terry); three grandchildren, Michael (Kim), Danny (Kristin) Robbins and Sara (Jordan) Harding; five great grandchildren, Carson, Avery, Blythe, Daphne Robbins and Milo Harding; two sisters, Ruth Bartkoski and Regina Seuferling and many nieces and nephews.
