Margaret (“Margie”) Theresa Cosgrove (Fasl), 92 years-old, peacefully passed to her eternal home having led a life filled with love by her husband, Joseph (“Joe”) E. Cosgrove, Sr. and her family and friends. Margaret passed on March 2, 2025, at the Advanced Health Care of Overland Park, Kansas.
Margaret was born to Frank X. and Mary Fasl on May 8, 1932, in Kansas City, Missouri. The Fasl home was full of children and family: Frank, Jr., John, Joseph, Richard, Robert, (all the brothers served in WWII) Mary Lou, Rose Ann and Margaret (the last surviving sibling). The family values were deeply established as hard work, faith and family.

In turn, there are nine grandchildren: Brook (Sarah), Jim, Chris, Tim, Robert Jr. (Victoria), Walker, Katie, Dr. Kelly (Conor) Raleigh, and Alexandra Werth, RN; and four great-grandchildren, Mae, Myla, Theodore and Hayden.
Margaret was a devout Catholic and often expressed the importance of her faith in her life. Margaret and Joe were regular mass attendees and said the rosary daily together in recent years.
Margaret was a secretary in the early years of marriage and after her children were older, worked for years at Belinder Elementary School and Shawnee Mission South High School. She was beloved by students and staff that called her “Mrs. C.”
Margaret took pride in her homemaking and was very fond of flowers and music. She enjoyed family gatherings.
Margaret loved sending texts to her family expressing love and well wishes as well as posting on Facebook in her desire to stay connected to her family.
Margaret will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandparent (affectionately called “Memaw,” “Meme” or “Meim”).
Margaret’s happy and loving spirit will live on in family and those that met her forever.
