She was employed with Corn Products for 17 years and National Starch Chemical Company for 23 years as a member of the OCAW and Steelworkers Unions.
After Retiring in 2009 she traveled with her son and his family in their RV camping and visiting beautiful places.
She was an avid cook and spent majority of her spare time in the kitchen, preparing traditional Polish food and loved to share with others. If you ever came into her kitchen, you better be prepared to try something new and would make sure you never left hungry. She loved to cater with friends and family for their major life events in weddings, baby showers and funerals. Everyone that had the pleasure to meet her found she was spunky and loving, but then wasn’t afraid to give her opinion of things either. She never met a stranger and was always interested in meeting new people and where they grew up. People were attracted to her accent and walked away with a memory of her from their conversation. She strongly believed in myths and superstitions and always inserted them to her everyday life. She loved talking about her family and friends and brag about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She could be the life of the party, especially at polka dances and was a proud member of PNA-Polish National Alliance. She was involved in Polski Day parades and festivals of Strawberry Hill.
In 2018, she became very ill and fought back to be with us another five years, until she left us to be with the Lord.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Her care staff was wonderful and passionate, and we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude.
