I knew her as Margaret. We were really good friends in Jr High and High School. We went to different colleges and would occasionally visit each other on the weekends. Even tho' we lost track of each other I felt a part of my youth had been taken away when I read that she had passed away. She was a great friend. To Joe and her family, I am so sorry for your loss. Remember Marty from when our kids were in elementary school in Overland Park, KS.  We both lived in the Morningview neighborhood & our kids, Lynn McCoy & Brian would play together.  So sorry for your loss & prayers for comfort for all of you.

I too was fortunate enough to have enjoyed working with Marty at LexisNexis.  What a kind, sweet woman. I don't think I ever saw her without a smile and a kind greeting. My sincere and deepest sympathies for this loss in your family.

Loved the time we had at Tink's FB games in UC and at family reunions and will always remember as young girls playing upstairs in their house when we went to visit in KC. Marty was a beautiful soul.  I will remember her laugh, her sweetness and her beautiful smile always.  It was a gift to have Marty as a friend.

To the Hickey family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Marty was a co-worker and friend.  She and I met because we would both end up in our company cafeteria at the same time most days.  After we kept bumping into each other and laughing when it started becoming a habit, Marty introduced herself and so did I.  This only occurred in the last couple of years but I loved when I saw her and we would get to talk while we were in line or walking back to our desks.  She was a neat lady and so sweet.  She was always smiling and I will so miss her.

Dear Joe and Family
The news of Marty passing has been difficult to hear.  I have worked with her for many years and will really miss seeing her smile at the office.  Joe, I believe I met you once or twice, but never met your boys or grandchildren.  Despite that, I feel as though I know you all very well.  Marty loved you all very dearly and was so proud of you.  She was especially thankful for the fine parents her boys (and their wives) have become, telling me often how well they were raising her grandchildren.  I have teenagers now, but Marty always asked about how my kids were doing, from the time they were born and even the last time she and I spoke.  When my kids where younger and I would bring them to the office she was very loving and welcoming to them.  Thank you for sharing her with us at LexisNexis for so many years.  This company has changed quite a bit in my 26 years here, but Marty remained a constant and I will miss her terribly.  You are all in my prayers during this time.  God Bless!
