Margaret Catherine Jarvis

Margaret Catherine Jarvis, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday March 2, 2005 at Liberty Terrace Care Center, Liberty, Missouri, after a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday March 4th at St. Peters Catholic Church, Kansas City, Missouri with burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday March 3rd at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Contributions can be made to Liberty Terrace, 2201 Glen Hendren St. Liberty, MO 64068.

Margaret was born on September 5th 1929 to George and Almeda (Walker) Dunn in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She moved to Kansas City to attend airline school where she met her husband, Henry John Jarvis. The two were married on May 5th 1954. She was an active member of St. Peters Catholic Church and served as a volunteer for her church and family activities. For many years she served as a secretary for Bryant Elementary School.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Robert Dunn. Survivors include daughters, Laura Davenport and her husband, Stewart, and Meg Vogt and her husband, Dan; four grandchildren, Amie, Mark, Lindsay, and Sara. As a person she will be known for her sense of humor and her ability to understand and work with children. She will be missed.
