Margaret Ann “Peggy” Middleton, 78, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 5th, 9:30 a.m., at McGilley State Line Chapel, with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at McGilley State Line Chapel, where the Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO, 64105.
Peggy was born April 26, 1934 in Kansas City, MO. She met her husband Don C. Middleton in 1958 and were married in 1959 at the Country Club Christian Church. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and Raytown Opti-Mrs where she held several officer positions and was president in 1967-1968. Peggy was on the Raytown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 1992-1994. She operated her husband’s business, Middleton Custom Home Design from 1990-1999. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Travel Club, a board member of Shepard Center and a member of the Hillcrest Country Club.
Peggy is survived by her son, Kenneth “Bud” Middleton of Overland Park; two daughters, Cindy J. Brammer and Guy of Lee’s Summit and Donita Martinez of Overland Park; five grandchildren, Carissa and Dave Heldenbrand, Jackie and Joe Kelly, Cassie Brammer, Michael Martinez and Danny Martinez; three great-grandchildren; Bella Kelly, Gia Heldenbrand and Westin Brandes.
