Margaret Owen

Margaret Davis Owen, 90, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at NorthCare Hospice, North Kansas City, Mo. It was the 19th anniversary of the death of her husband Hubert Wilson Owen as well as their 67th wedding anniversary. Margaret was born in Desloge, Mo., to David R. and Martha Davis. She was a published poet, a voracious reader and a woman of passion and wit. She was a life-long Methodist. She is survived by her three children: Dinah Wonderly of Gladstone, Mo., David Owen (Grace) of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Patricia Owen (partner Rebecca) of Seattle, Wash. She is also survived by four grandsons: John Christian Wonderly, Crosby Haffner, Bronson Haffner, Jonathon Haffner, and siblings: Howard Davis (Hana) of New York, N.Y., and Martha Ware (Wendell) of Carrollton, Mo. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2011 at North Cross United Methodist Church, 1321 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with funeral services starting at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.
