September 11, 2018

It was my pleasure to become acquainted with Margaret Stanley several years ago when I visited members who no longer were able to make it to Hickman Mills Community Christian Church services , to visit and serve communion. Another member of HMCCC, Charlie Jessup, had been coming to see Margaret for several years and introduced us. Immediately, I took a real liking to Margaret and came to visit her too monthly. After knowing Margaret for about 1 1/2 years, I saw a picture displayed in her living room of family and asked her to tell me about them. To my surprise, a dear friend of mine from elementary thru high school named Don Cable was her nephew! She would tell me how much she loved Don, his wife, Karen, and their families and so appreciated their love and support. Margaret said she especially looked forward to "Family Fun Nights!"
I am sorry that once Margaret moved to Blue Springs, I visited a few times but did not see Margaret often after that. Every now then we visited on the phone. Margaret, I adored you and so enjoyed our visits. I could always open my heart to you and am thankful for our time that we shared our lives, God's love and communion together. Know you are reunited with loved ones and held closely in God's eternal love, You will be missed!
Sincerely,
Joanna Hayslett
