

Margaret E. Strahler, 93, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 16th, 11:00 a.m., at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS, with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 15th at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 6:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cure of Ars or charity of choice.
Margaret was born July 27, 1920 in Zanesville, Ohio to Andrew and Anna (McGonagle) Quinn. She married Paul J. Strahler from Washington County, Ohio on August 30, 1947. Margaret and Paul moved to Kansas City in the spring of 1960. Margaret was an original member of Cure of Ars and belonged to the church discussion club, bridge club and the Ladies of Charity. She volunteered for the Johnson County Election Board and was an active member of the Marillac Auxillary.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Paul; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Michael (Sandy) Strahler, Martha Strahler, Paul R. Strahler, Elaine (David) Stansfield, Carol (Kevin) Kruse; one brother Tom Quinn; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family wants to give a special thank you to the staff of Clare Bridge at The Sweet Life and the Grace Hospice team.
