

Mr. Galindo, 72, of Kansas City, KS passed away Aug 5, 2004 at Providence Place Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon Monday, Aug 9th at Redemptorist Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO followed by burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 Sunday Aug 8, at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood, Kansas City, MO where the Rosary will be prayed at 3 pm Sunday.
Margarito passed away in the loving arms of his family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 20, 1932 in Kansas City, KS and had lived in the Kansas City area all of his life. He co-founded the Golden Knights Basketball Team in the 1960’s. After 43 years of service as a Carman with the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad he retired in 1994. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after 27 years of service. He cherished life, his family and friends, gardening, travel, casino tours and cooking. The family would like to thank his friends, co-workers and many others for the prayers, kindness, love and support during this difficult time. Muggs was preceded in death by his parents Domingo and Luz Galindo, a younger brother Lucio Galindo, and his son Michael A Galindo. Surviving are his wife Virginia Suarez Galindo; a daughter Anna M. Walker and daughter-in-law Theresa Galindo; two sisters Jessie G. Mills of Shawnee Mission, KS and Maxine Galindo of Commerce City, CO; three grandchildren Michael A. Galindo, Jr., Alicia Rae Walker, Christina Gallegos and her husband Joel Gallegos as well as two great-grandchildren Laura and Joel Gallegos and numerous other relatives and friends.
