Margie Marie Tate, 83, Kansas City North, passed away November 25, 2014 at her home. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Friday, November 28th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service in Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
Margie was born April 17, 1931 in Taos, MO and as a child lived for a time in Jefferson City before moving to Kansas City. She was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church. Before retiring in 1980, Margie was employed for more than 30 years at Southwest Bell Telephone and belonged to the Pioneers of Southwestern Bell. She was a member of the Elk’s Lodge Auxiliary. Margie and her husband, Robert, loved to travel and visited every state except for three.
Survivors include husband, Robert G. Tate; son, Robert J. Tate; brother, Bill Walters; sister, Bertha Gierling; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
