Louise Harding Wilson, age 92, Overland Park, Kansas died on 21 June, 2014. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Asbury united Methodist Church, 5400 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.
Mrs. Wilson was born on 5 March, 1922 in Oak Grove Missouri. She lived and worked on the family farm. She went to Oak Grove High School and loved playing basketball. During World War II, Louise relocated to Spokane Washington to support the war munitions efforts. Upon returning to Oak Grove, she married William Harding and in 1955 they welcomed daughter, Marsha Lynn. In 1959, they relocated to Prairie Village where Louise spent the next 50 years volunteering, homemaking and was an active member of Asbury Methodist Church. After losing Bill in 1976, she traveled extensively and remarried John Wilson in 1986. During these years she was very actively involved with her grandchildren and daughter, learned to play golf, worked in the local schools, and volunteered at Kaleidoscope. Throughout her life, she spent many years playing bridge and enjoyed ballroom dancing. Eventually she moved to the Forum where she lived until her death, still playing bridge and enjoying time with her friends.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter, Marsha Ratzel and grandchildren.
