
Marian Louise Remington, age 87, recent resident of the Tampa Bay Florida area, and long-time resident of the Kansas City area went home to be with the Lord peacefully early Saturday morning, on April 15, 2017. She was with her “baby boy” great-grandson, Daniel and her beloved daughter, Cindy when she passed away. “Louise” was born May 11, 1929 to Leo and Margaret Grubbs. Louise was preceded in death by her two children, Gary and Janet, her parents, her sisters Ila and May, and her brother, Johnny. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Mosley, Ulis Thompson and Andrew Bost.
She is survived by her husband Harold Remington and her sister, Lesta. She is also survived by her children Danny, Jerry and Cindy, and their spouses, Kathy, Barbara and Bert. Louise had 6 grandchildren, Tracy, Robin, Troy, Chad, Melissa and, Beth. Then they had 11 great grandchildren, Ashlee, Paul, Daniel, Charlie, Jack, Hailey, Hanna, Blake, Chase, Kailey and McKenna. She also had two great-great granddaughters, Isabella and Saige. In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless others whom she claimed as her own.
Louise, “Grandma Weeze” was known for her unending kindness, her loving ways, her sense of humor and her infectious laugh. She didn’t seem to know how to say “no” to anyone. It is just who she was. She will be greatly missed and will forever be in the hearts and minds of those who knew her. To know her was to love her. She praised the name of “Jesus” and has spent her entire life striving to live eternally in paradise with her Savior. At last, she can truly say “Victory in Jesus”.
Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
