Marianne was born in Hensel, North Dakota on February 3, 1930 to Viola (Goetz) Sellheim and Henry Sellheim. She was one of seven children. Marianne and her six siblings (Orville, LaRue, Donald, Betty, Dale, and Kay) grew up on a small farm. She left North Dakota as a young adult and moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she got a job as a secretary at Kansas City Power and Light Company.
She later married Sidney A. Bilyeu and they had one daughter, Annette. After Marianne widowed, she lived as close as possible to her three grandchildren, and greatest joys in life- Bryan, Brooke, and Brandi.
She is survived by her only daughter Annette Gentry, son-in-law Richard Gentry, three grandchildren, and great-grandson Myles Gentry.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri on Friday March 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery.
