She was born Marianne Jo Sherwood on March 8, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents Marianne and Arnold Sherwood; her husband, Jerome A. Clifford; son, Jerry Clifford; her husband James D. Harbart; her brother, Stephen Sherwood; and sisters Nathalie Haren and Jeanne Galamba. She is survived by her daughters Carolee Steele, Cheryl Clifford, Leslie (Kevin) Collins, Theresa (Michael) Dorrell; Marti (Bryce) Petty; and sons Vince (Andrea) Clifford and Stephen (Jonna) Clifford, stepdaughters Lynne (Mike) Piper and Jill (Jeff) Pratt; sister-in-law Mary Lynn Sherwood and brother-in-law Richard Galamba. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She attended St. Peter’s Catholic Grade School and Bishop Hogan High School in Kansas City, and Maryville College in St. Louis. She was a member of Church of the Nativity and served for 25 years as an Ambassador at St. Joseph Medical Center. Her most precious times were spent with her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at McGilley State Line Chapel from 5:00- 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 26 beginning with the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 27 at 10:00am at Church of the Nativity, Leawood, Kansas. Private graveside service to be held at Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri, immediately following the funeral.
