

Marie E. Fasl, age 95, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at her residence. She was born on July 25, 1920 to Thomas J. and Mary (Mullane) McAuliffe in Kansas City, Missouri. She retired from The Jones Store in 1987. For several decades she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church where she faithfully attended daily Mass until she moved to the Kingswood Retirement Community in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Catherine McAuliffe; husband, Joseph F. Fasl; daughter, Mary C. Rotert; grandson, Luke Haake; all of her Mullane cousins; and all of her Fasl family brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by sons, Thomas, Patrick (Verna), Robert (Rosemary) Fasl; and daughter, Joanne (Dan) Haake; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and her sole surviving cousin, Bill McAuliffe.
At Marie’s direction the visitation will take place on Saturday November 21, 2015 at the McGilley Memorial Chapel, 12301 State Line Rd. from 9-11 a.m. followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery. Marie wanted all to know that she was a life- long Democrat; and she desired that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Wesley Assistance Fund at Kingswood 10000 Wornall Rd. KCMO 64114 or the Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A. Reed Rd. KCMO 64138.
