Marie Rapp Davis Hayes, 98, of Raytown, MO passed away from natural causes on February 14, 2012 at Westridge Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 17th from 6:30-7:30pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Graveside service noon on Sat. at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville, MO.
Marie was born on November 25, 1913 to Fred & Neoma Rapp on a farm in Pilot Grove Township. She grew up in Boonville & was the fourth child of six. Marie married Earl Davis of Blackwater, MO & they had three children. Later in life she married Charley Hayes of Pilot Grove and they lived the remainder of their lives in the KC area. Marie attended & loved the First Assembly of God Church in Raytown, MO; it became an important part of her life.
Marie is preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Davis; second husband, Charley Hayes; siblings, Emily Dunfee, Albatine (Tine) Bobbitt, Elvie Shore, Marjorie White & Frederick (Budd) Rapp and a daughter, Bonnie Jean Davis. She is survived by her sons, Earl Davis Jr. of Raytown, MO & Donald Davis of Sebastopol, CA and a large number of grand & great-grandchildren. Condolences to www.mcgilleysheil.com.
