Marie Elizabeth Madison, 95, Kansas City, MO passed away November 18, 2015. Visitation will be held 2-3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., Friday, November 20, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO.
Marie was born June 18, 1920 in Ringling, OK. In 1942, she married Charles S. Madison. She worked as a geriatric nurse and was a consummate caregiver. As a member of the First Baptist Church, she volunteered in the Hospitality Committee and was part of the Ladies’ Sewing Circle, Bible Study Group, Health Ministry and Mission Commission. Marie was also an active member of the RIKC (Rehabilitation Institute of Kansas City) Auxiliary, Tri Psi and the Pilot Club.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Pat) Dierker of Kansas City, MO and Barbara J. (Mark Ray) Madison of St. Louis, MO; three granddaughters, Angela, Andrea and Madison (Bob); four great-grandchildren, Michael, Devin, Laura and Owen; a brother, Robert (Joann) Longest and a sister, Pat (Emmett) Morris.
