Marilyn was born on February 20, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri to Ira Hearon and Ellen Dulin. She attended Central High School. Marilyn and her husband, Rick owned and operated Overland Park Appliance for 40+ years and were active in the Downtown Overland Park Business Association.
They were long time members of First Baptist Church of Overland Park.
They enjoyed many years in Desert Shadows Park in Phoenix, where she loved to dance and play cards with her many friends.
She was a big Chiefs fan and loved Patrick Mahomes.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Rick, after being married for 68 years and her parents Ira Hearon and Ellen Dulin. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Resz of Dunedin, Florida, her children, Diana Scudiero (Steve), Carol Goethe (Bret), Rick M Pence (Shelley), and grandchildren Kelly Bailey, Shelly Hood (Pete Mapes), Jerad Goethe (JT), Chris Scudiero and Corey Scudiero, plus 1 great grandchild Sarah Hood, nephews, John Swezy (Susan), Mark Swezy (Kathy), Tim Swezy (Sandy) and Dan Swezy (Gary)
