Marion N Waldrip, II, 91, passed away November 22, 2012. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 29th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial, with military honors, will be in Mt. Moriah South Cemetery.
Marion was a US Navy veteran of World War II serving as a radio operator. He was injured during the war when his convoy was bombed which he later received a medal by the Russian president for heroic service towards the Russian people. He was a 32 degree mason and 50 year member of the Alpha Masonic Lodge #659, North Kansas City where he served as Worship Master. Marion was a member of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2003.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.
