Marion Henry Whipple, 77, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away July 31, 2012 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64105. Henry was born January 13, 1935 in Plad, Missouri, one of 13 children born to the late Frank and Evey Whipple. He worked as a carpenter for Turner Construction and Sbisa Homes. Henry loved fishing, hunting, music, family and friends. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Henry is survived by his wife of 56 years, GeorgeAnna Whipple; son Jeff Whipple (Anita); daughter Karla Dotson (Eugene); brother Leonard Whipple (Geraldine); niece, who was like a sister, Sharon Beaty (Gene); five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
