Mark Steven Cipolla, 62 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed unexpectedly on Nov. 25, 2018. Born July 22, 1956 in Kansas City, MO. As a deep-rooted Kansas Citian, Mark attended St. Elizabeth’s for primary school, Southwest High School, and received his bachelor's from UMKC. Mark was a lifelong romantic which was evident through his three marriages, and was a loving father to five children and one grandson. Even though, his true loves were Thai food and Jujubes. He was servant of God and spent his life serving and giving to others.

Just a great guy that my sister Gia & I have know for 35 years and reconnected this past summer. We knew him from the old days of Red River Saloon and again we found him at Kenny's tile when we sold houses for D.R. Horton and he put in the floors for new homes. True gentlemen in every sense.

Mark was always such a light to our family. Not only because of his smile and laugh and being a kind person. Mark hired my brother Gordon who was having mental health problems to help with his tree trimming and land scapping business at a time when many employers would not have done that. I had to call Mark a few years ago with a question about lawn service (I didn’t know he was no longer in the business) and he quickly referred me on to some other Ideas that might work. Mark was always serving others as the others have said. Thank you Mark for being kind to us. I am sorry you left us all so soon but enjoy heaven.

Remember the love and goodness that was your son. Friends, family and faith got us through and so it will for you. We regret that we cannot be there, but know that we are there in spirit. I didn’t know mark very well he was in my sisters class. He and my sister were great friends. However I knew his father when my brother and I worked at broadmour mkt. Mr Coppola was such a nice man. Even when some of the days would get hectic Mr Coppola always kept calm and cool. God bless you Mark and All the the Cipolla Family

Mark and I went to St. Elizabeth's from start to finish. Just that guy that no matter what was going on in his life, he always wanted to know about mine and my family.
Losing Mark...it's been tough. But we know where he is and what he's doing.
See you again Mark....whenever buddy.

May perpetual light shine upon you.

God blessing and peace to the entire Cipolla family.

Mark or Marko- as I called him, was like my brother from another mother! I knew him over 17 years. Marko’s hardwood company did my construction company’s hardwood flooring projects. His crew’s were always good, courteous, and satisfying. Marko, would have it no other way.

Five years ago he became a founding board member for the nonprofit organization, Social Impact Technology & Engineering (SITE). He loved serving on the organization’s board and he worked on it like it was his “bread-and-butter” job. His main concerns were “what about the kids from the hood, are we going to help them get better STEM-field jobs and how will we feed them if their hungry?” Marko, was a true disciple!

He and I could clown in any situation too. We’d go into C-suite office leadership offices and I’d introduce him as white-Mark and he’d say “and I call him, black-Mark.” Lol! We’d love to see the responses from our introductions. That was our icebreaker and we got a lot done for SITE and Kansas City’s, urban youth.

As SITE Founder, and on behalf of the SITE organization, we extend our deepest condolences to the family. And may God continue to keep you strong and blessed, even more in this time of the passing of your loved one.

Marko, thank you brother! You will be sorely missed by the world. Rest in heaven, brother!

I went to St. Elizabeth as well
as Southwest with Mark. I had re-connected with Mark on Facebook but hadn’t seen him in sometime.

Two years ago my Dad passed away after an unexpected illness. Mark showed up at my Dad’s funeral. I was so touched. This was the kind hearted person he was.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mark’s family.
