Marlene Johnson, 71, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away March 9, 2016. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 3935 Prospect Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
Marlene Johnson was born March 13, 1944, daughter of Flossie Gallimore and Earl Towns in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She retired from Mobil Oil in 2002 and JC Penney in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gene Johnson. Her memory will be cherished by her sons Jermaine Jones (Tamika) and Earl Jones (Lareshia) of Kansas City, brother Rayfield Clifton (Valerie) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of extended relatives and friend.
She will be forever remembered and greatly missed.
