Marolyn R. Synoviec

Marolyn R. (Exby) Synoviec, 98, of Kansas City, MO passed away April 23, 2019. Funeral Service 10:30am Sat., May 4th at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., KCMO 64133. Rosary recited at 9am followed by visitation from 9:30am-10:30am. Inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery following funeral service.

Marolyn was a member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO. She moved to her home in the Leeds area in 1946 and stayed until 2017 when she moved to the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center. Marolyn was a homemaker until her children were grown. In 1961 she started her career with Sears Roebuck in the Mail Order Department, retiring in 1993.

Marolyn was a strong, independent woman interested in world affairs and technology. She enjoyed traveling world wide, cross-stitching, crocheting, knitting and dressmaking. Marolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.

Marolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward; her parents, Floyd & Josephine Exby and a sister, Joan Wehner. She is survived by her children: Carol Bailey of Excelsior Springs and Sue Synoviec of Independence; grandchildren: Lisa Messer (Mark), Lori Sclesky (Eric) and Jaylene Quarti (Chris); 8 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Wehner and many loving dogs.
