A life well loved is a life well lived. Martha Dominick was loved by everyone who knew her for her dedication to family, generosity in helping others and her faith. Martha was born May 3, 1940 to Harold Bowen and Martha Douglas Bowen and is preceded in death by her parents, son Rob Dominick and siblings Harold “ Sonny” Bowen and Mildred “Snookie” Bowen. She will be remembered fondly by her four generations of family: her loving husband of 63 years Chuck Dominick, children Michelle Heller (Charles), Charlie Dominick (Dana), Brian Dominick (Kim), grandchildren Chuck Dominick (Amber), Erin Owen (Mike), Ryan Murphy, Brittany Anthony (Travis), Andrew Dominick (Samantha), Courtney Hays (Ben), Brandon Dominick, Sloane Dominick and six great-grandchildren Parker, Max, Carmen, Christian, Tristyn, and Kai. She will be missed dearly by many other loving friends and family, all who have been touched by her kindness and loving spirit.
Martha was happiest when she could give her time and resources to others. She truly believed a life is made by what we give and not what we get. As a lifelong member of Independence Boulevard Christian Church, she served the church community in many capacities as Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher and volunteering with the Micah Ministry. Martha was instrumental in the research and designation of IBCC on the National Historical Register. Martha loved her career and the many friends she made, both coworkers and customers as Sales Manager of several fine jewelry stores.
Martha was a role model of unconditional love and service. Funeral services will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home Dec 1, 2022. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. and service at 10:00 a.m. The family wishes to thank the staff at Evergreen Community of Johnson County for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martha’s memory to Micah Ministry, Independence Boulevard Christian Church, 606 Gladstone, Kansas City, MO 64124.
