Mary E. Childers, 90, of Raytown, MO died October 12, 2013. Mass of Christian burial held 11am Fri., Oct. 18, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Raytown, 7009 Blue Ridge. Visitation one hour prior with rosary said at 10:30am. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mary was born on October 17, 1922 in Indianapolis, IN & raised in Chanute, KS. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1940. On April 6, 1940 she married Robert P. Childers & after WWII they moved to Kansas City where they raised their family. The focus of Mary’s life was her faith, family & friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Dan J. Nolan; sister, Genevieve Outhwaite & her son, Robert N. Childers. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Flanagan & Ann Childers, both of Raytown; daughter-in-law, Loretta Childers of Olathe; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.
