

Mary Coole, 95, Kansas City, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Dec. 16, 2016. Visitation is Thursday Dec 22, at 9:00 AM, with Memorial Mass following at 10:00 at St. James Catholic Church, 309 S Stewart Road, Liberty, MO. Inurnment will take place immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
Mary was born August 23, 1921 to Jeremias and Alida (Neyrinck) Blanchaert in Wingene, Belgium. The family immigrated to America in 1924 and settled in Kansas City, MO. At 18, she married James Coole, also a Belgium. They were married for 43 years prior to his death.
Mary was a seamstress during the Second World War, then she devoted herself to her home and family. She loved gardening and canning, crocheting and fishing at the lake anytime she could. The last few years, she lived at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James; a sister, Irma Millette; and great-granddaughter, Kori Quinn. Survivors include her children, James (Patricia), Mary Ann, and Rose (Gary); brother Remy Blanchaert, sister Margaret Weir and sister-in-law Margaret Ball; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
