Born July 16, 1917, to Anna and Nicholas Gorman, she was raised in KCK in a family of 12 children. She went to work in the “garment district” where she met the love of her life, Phillip (Bud) Czarlinsky. Together, they started a business and raised a family. Her family and her faith were her priorities.
Born with the “gift of gab,” she loved to talk. She also loved writing in her journals, the Kansas City Chiefs (attending the first Super Bowl in 1967), the Royals, bass fishing in Arkansas, Dancing with the Stars and the color pink. She always maintained a positive attitude and a good sense of humor throughout her life.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Czarlinsky and her sons, Charlie Czarlinsky and Ken Czarlinsky. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Czarlinsky; grandsons Ryan Hicks and Travis Hicks; granddaughter, Sarah Czarlinsky; brother, George Gorman; sister, Rose Harris and many nieces and nephews. She always said, “Don’t cry for me when I’m gone, I’ve had a good life.” “Bumba,” we love you and we will miss you.
Private graveside service will be held at a later date.
