Mary L. Garcia Delgado, 73, of KCMO, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
Mary was born October 4, 1944 in Courtneyville, MO to Simon and Maria Paz (Olvera) Garcia. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many. Mary retired from Commerce Bank and volunteered at North Kansas City Hospital. She was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (Redemptorist) Church where she volunteered with the clothing assistance program, as well as cleaning the church. Mary loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, and her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Maria P. Garcia; brothers, Joe Garcia, Demetrio Garcia, John O. Garcia; and her sisters, Francis Lopez, Connie Walker, and her faithful cat, Spooky Bear.
Survivors include her sons, John A. Delgado Sr. (Susan), and Paul Delgado, both of Kansas City MO, and four grandchildren, Jacob Delgado-Ortiz, John Delgado, Jr., Alyx Delgado, and Jade Delgado. .
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Redemptorist Church, burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City. A visitation will be held Monday July 23, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.at McGilley Antioch Chapel, Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
