Mary G Hall Jordan, age 99, passed away peacefully on Oct 27, 2021 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Mary was born on August 31, 1922 to William Clyde Bradford and Beulah (Howard) Bradford in Fillmore, MO. The oldest of three children, she grew up on a farm with her brother Bill and sister Beverly. She had a horse named Beth. She went to Park College for two years, and once, on her way home from college on a train, the roads were washed out from heavy rains, so her dad picked her up on horseback.
Mary met Stanley Hall in St Joseph, MO while he was on leave from the service. After a brief courtship, they married in 1942. During the war they traveled throughout Europe. When the war was over, they moved to Kansas City and Stanley opened the Hall's Art and Frame Shop on Main Street. Together they raised two children, April and Christopher. Stanley preceded her in death in 1972.
By working at various hospitals and doctors’ offices, Mary learned medical technology on the job before there was a degree in Medical Technology. She worked her way up to become the head of the laboratory at The Community Blood Center of Kansas City. She also worked at Children's Mercy Hospital, fulfilling her passion for helping people. She continued to help people through her involvement in Alcoholics Anonymous, where she met Henry "Hank" Jordan. They married and were together until his death in 2014.
Mary was a longtime member of St. James Anglican Cathedral. She took it upon herself to be sure that all participants received a Sunday bulletin and an invitation to join for coffee after the service.
Mary was an avid lover of books. She spent hours reading while sitting at her window, looking out on the beauty of nature and wildlife in her yard. She loved the Kansas City Royals and she and Hank were season ticket holders. She continued her passion for the team by enjoying watching the games up until the time of her death. Mary had a deep love for her cats, Sampson and Hello Dolly. They brought her joy and companionship for many years.
Mary's caring spirit and loving heart could be felt by anyone she met. She had a special gift for making everyone feel like family. She loved talking to people and telling them stories about her life. In her last few months she won the hearts of many of the people who cared for her. Her petite frame and grateful spirit endeared her to everyone who crossed her path.
She is survived by her daughter April Hall of Kansas City and son Christopher Hall of the Portland, Oregon area. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and their families and many dear friends.
Visitation is 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, Thursday, Nov 4 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 West Linwood Blvd, Kansas City MO 64111. Funeral service is at 10:00 am, Friday, Nov 5 at St. James Anglican Cathedral, 342 North Water Street, Liberty, MO 64068. The family suggests donations to the Kansas City Hospice House or St. James Anglican Cathedral.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can
