Mary Alice Jackson was born February 24th, 1940, in Camden, Arkansas to Glen and Odessia McDonald. She attended public school in Camden and Stephens, Arkansas, graduating from Carver High School where she was known for her All-Star Basketball skills and exceptional talent.
Reared in a Christian home, Mary confessed Christ at an early age while attending Sweet Home Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Jacobs. Mary moved to Kansas City, Missouri to join her sister Bernice and cousin Margaret Porchia. She later joined Emmanuel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend W.H. White, where she was a member of the choir, taught Sunday School classes and Vocational Bible School.
She was married to Willie T. Moore and from this union Gerald Thomas Moore and Lynne N. Moore were born. Mary was later united in marriage to Clifford Dale for 37 years until his passing on February 2nd, 2022.
Mary worked various jobs until she finally gained employment at the Internal Revenue Service where she was a committed and dedicated worker for 26 years. She earned the respect and trust of her leadership and received many awards and acknowledgments for a job well done.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford Jackson, son Gerald T. Moore, stepson Lamar Jackson, sister Bernice Walker, brother Glen and Cal McDonald. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Lynne Moore, grandson Rashad T. Moore, step-son Donald (spouse Karlene Jackson), step-grandson Tyler Jackson, Eva (Reggie) Coker, Ryon, Brittany Mosby, Tiara Coker, NaTasha Coker, Devin Jackson, Olivia Jackson, Maya Coker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131 on September 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Committal will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
