Mary E. Jacoby

Mary Eloise (Brady) Jacoby, 79, of Kansas City, MO, died peacefully on Sept. 15, 2012, at Garden Valley Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be 8 a.m., Fri., Sept. 21, followed by Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO 64118. Burial will take place in Stanberry, MO. Mary was born April 22, 1933, in Stanberry, MO. She was married to Bill Jacoby for over 25 years. During this time, Mary stayed home and raised three children, Phil, John, and Susan, for whom she loved to bake. Their favorites included chocolate sheet cake, tea rings, and chocolate chip cookies. Mary was strongly rooted in her faith and attended weekly mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Gladstone until she moved into a nursing home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Clara Brady; siblings, Kenneth Brady, Eugene Brady and Bill Brady; and son, Phil Jacoby. Survivors include sister, Betty Baker, and brother, Ray Brady; son, John; daughter, Susan, and four loving grandchildren.
