Mary Lee McConnell, 93, Pleasant Hill, MO passed away July 10, 2017. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
Mrs. McConnell was born August 6, 1923 in Guernsey, IA, daughter of Lee B. and Lydia E. (Marolf) Cochran. She retired with over 30 years with First Federal Savings. Mrs.McConnell enjoyed square dancing, bowling, golf and was an extensive traveler. She was active in the Methodist Church serving as treasurer, was a Hospice volunteer for 12 years and set up Warm House in Warsaw, MO.
She was preceded in death by her son Jere C. Mayer. Mrs. McConnell is survived by her husband of 43 years Terrell McConnell, sons Ken Mayer and wife Dee, Bruce Mayer and wife Pat, sister Ida Jean Smith, and extended family.
