Mary Evelyn Stark

Mary E. Stark. 85, of Olathe, KS, formerly of Kansas City, MO died Thursday, December 17 at Villa St. Francis Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am Monday, December 21, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, December 20, 2020,1-3 pm at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Burial will be Tuesday in Forest Hill and Calvary Cemetery.

Mary was born November 9, 1935 in Pierce City, MO to Harry and Pauline (McKenna)

Shryock. She worked for JC Penney for 30 years at Ward Parkway, Bannister, Blue Ridge and Metro North Malls before retiring. She was married to the love of her life Edward for 27 years. Mary never drove, but enjoyed taking the bus to different parts of town and meeting new people. Her hobbies were reading, ‘garage saleing’ and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, her brother Bob and her son Thomas. She is survived by her son Steve and his wife Suzanne; her brother Kenny Shryock; her sister Joann Gunter; four grandchildren, Ashley Stark, Savanah Bailey, Cody Stark and Nathan Stark; three great granddaughters, Bailey, Isabella and Emmy.
