Maudie Marie Fronkier, 97, of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on January 9, 1928, she lived a life full of creativity, joy, and devotion to her family.
An accomplished painter working in both watercolors and acrylics, Maudie’s artwork expressed her love for life and nature. She delighted in traveling and sharing her art with family, friends, and the community.
Family was the heart of her world. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Elton Fronkier; her son, Robert Fronkier; and her daughter, Pamela Fronkier. She is lovingly survived by her daughters Sheila McInturff, Carol Schindel, Karen Long, Susan Rhodelander, six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of kindness, artistry, and quiet strength.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133 on Thursday, 13 November 2025 at 1pm. Following visitation, a memorial service will take place at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mid-America Heart Institute at Saint Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri .
Maudie’s brush brought color to our world, and her heart brought light into our lives. Her legacy of love, creativity, and steadfast devotion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
