Mavis LaBar Garrison, 92, passed away June 25, 2016. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Floral Hills. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm at the chapel.Mavis graduated from Bucklin High School in Bucklin, MO, in 1942. She worked in several professions, retiring from the Medical Center of Independence, MO. Mavis was preceded in death by her husbands: Foster F. LaBar, in 1991, and John W. Garrison in 2014. She is survived by her daughters: Denese Manus, and her husband, Jerry, of Lee’s Summit, MO; Mava Mullins, of Grandview, MO; sister, Enid Davis, and her husband, Carroll, of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Renae, Jake and his wife, Felicia, Grace and her husband, Joey; and great granddaughter, Penelope.
