

Maxine was born October 10, 1929 to Leona and John Williams. Maxine married Elmer Friederichs May 14, 1949 and were married for 71 years until his passing in 2020. Their son, William preceded Maxine in death. Their surviving children are Carol (Steve) Evrard, Matthew Friederichs, Cindy (Brent) Huedepohl, Rick (Reta) Friederichs, Mary (Craig) Wiens. There are also 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Maxine was a long standing member of Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1973 and was a founding family of St. Bernadette's Church.
Maxine always stressed the importance of family for she was always ready to host a Kansas City Chiefs watch party or a Kansas City Royals baseball party. There were many trips to Minnesota for a funeral, wedding or many Thanksgivings-despite Elmer protestation of going north in the winter. Maxine also loved going to Pomme De Terre Lake for family campout or every other weekend in the summer. Maxine enjoyed sitting around the fire, talking or listening to the KC Royals game, riding in the boat and stopping to relax and swim in a cove on the lake.
Maxine was always ready to play games such as Triominos or playing cards such as Thirtyone, Pinochle or get a poker game going. Maxine was always ready to teach the next generation these games that she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Leona , siblings John Williams, Rosie Mensing and Rollie Williams.
Her visitation will be held from 9-10am, service at 10am on Friday, May 29 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Celebration of life will be held at the Knights of Columbus, 5105 Blue Ridge Cutoff , Kansas City Missouri 64133.
In lieu of flowers donations to St Bernadette's Church 9020 E 51st Terrace, KC, MO, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 47 and residential Hospice.
