

Melva Marie (Clisbee) Muleski, 94, of Kansas City, Missouri, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 26th, 10:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64114, with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made in Melva's name to Christ the King Food Pantry.
Melva was born in St. Joseph, MO, on October 2, 1915, the daughter of Albert and Martha (Glenski) Clisbee. She was married for 43 years to Thomas A. Muleski who died on April 3, 1985. Throughout her life, Melva was active in her parish and her children's schools. For many years, she prepared funeral dinners and volunteered at Christ the King food pantry where she helped numerous families in the Kansas City area. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella and The Rockhurst Women's Circle.
Melva is survived by her three children; Marilyn Muleski and her husband Greg Gertz of Ottawa, Ontario; Bob Muleski and his wife Kathy of Natick, MA; and Greg Muleski and his wife Liz of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kate and Geoffrey Gertz; Rachel, Sara Kate and Erika Muleski. She also leaves her brother, Harry Clisbee, his wife Berenice, her sister-in-law, Virginia Clisbee, all of St. Joseph, MO; and four nieces, four nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Melva was preceded in death by her brother, Albert T. Clisbee and her sister, Dorothy Clisbee Chambers.
